Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with societyTALK. This policy explains your options for cancellation and outlines when refunds are available. If you have any concerns, please contact us at info@societytalk.in before cancelling — we're happy to help.

1. Free Trial

New societies may use societyTALK during a free trial period (duration communicated at sign-up). No payment is required during the trial. You may cancel at any time during the trial with no charges incurred. At the end of the trial, your account transitions to a paid subscription unless you choose to cancel.

2. Subscription Plans

societyTALK subscriptions are available on:

  • Monthly billing: Charged at the start of each calendar month. The subscription renews automatically until cancelled.
  • Annual billing: Charged upfront for a full 12-month period at a discounted rate. The subscription renews annually until cancelled.

3. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting us at info@societytalk.in or calling +91 84088 02000.

  • Monthly subscriptions: Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month. You retain full access until that date.
  • Annual subscriptions: Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current annual term unless a refund is requested within the eligible window (see Section 4).
  • Data after cancellation: Your society's data is retained for 12 months post-cancellation. You may request a full data export during this period. After 12 months, all data is permanently deleted.

4. Refund Eligibility

Refunds are available in the following cases:

  • New customers — monthly plan: If you are dissatisfied within the first 5 days of your first paid month, you may request a full refund of that month's payment. This applies only to the first billing cycle.
  • New customers — annual plan: If you are dissatisfied within the first 30 days of your annual subscription, you may request a pro-rata refund for the unused months. Setup or onboarding fees (if any) are non-refundable.
  • Service outage: If societyTALK experiences a verified unplanned outage exceeding 24 consecutive hours, you may request a credit equivalent to the affected days proportioned to your monthly subscription fee.

5. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds are not available for:

  • Months already consumed or partially used beyond the eligibility window.
  • Cancellations made after the refund eligibility period.
  • Accounts terminated for violation of our Terms of Service.
  • Requests where the primary reason for cancellation is a feature not listed in the product description at the time of sign-up.

6. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact us with the following information:

  • Registered society name and administrator email address.
  • Date of the payment for which you are requesting a refund.
  • Reason for the refund request.

We will review your request and respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days, depending on your bank.
